Social Media Content Creator

This is a full-time, in-house position based in London (hybrid working applies).

The Role

The Content Creator at eightyfour plays a pivotal role within our Social Media team, producing high-quality visual content for a diverse portfolio of hospitality and restaurant clients. Reporting to the Social Media Director, they are responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering standout photography and video content that brings brand stories to life across social platforms.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled visual storyteller with a strong eye for detail, an understanding of social-first content, and the ability to translate creative briefs into compelling, results-driven assets. Working closely with Social Media Managers, you will help shape and execute creative visions that align with client objectives and elevate brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

Photography & Videography

  • Interpret creative briefs, shot lists, and shoot plans, ensuring clear execution on set.

  • Lead and manage content shoots at client locations, maintaining an efficient structure and positive flow throughout the day.

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content using professional camera equipment, lighting, and mobile devices as required.

  • Adapt shooting styles to meet varied brand aesthetics and platform requirements.

Post-Production

  • Edit and deliver photography and video content in line with agreed shot lists and timelines.

  • Apply colour grading, retouching, and photo editing techniques tailored to individual brand identities.

  • Edit engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikTok videos) with a strong focus on pacing, storytelling, and platform performance.

Creative Development & New Business

  • Contribute original ideas and creative concepts for new business pitches and evolving client strategies.

  • Stay informed on social media trends, formats, and platform updates to continuously improve content output.

Client Communication

  • Provide a high standard of professional and proactive client service.

  • Confidently communicate with clients and internal teams, responding to feedback constructively and translating requests into high-quality deliverables.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in photography and video content created specifically for social media platforms.

  • Confident and articulate communicator, both verbally and in writing.

  • Strategic and creative thinker capable of delivering fresh, impactful ideas aligned with client goals.

  • Calm, adaptable problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.

  • Highly organised multitasker, comfortable managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

  • Able to independently run shoots with professionalism, positivity, and attention to detail.

  • Flexible and willing to travel across London for varied shoot schedules.

  • Curious, motivated, and eager to continually develop creative and technical skills.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Confident operation of professional digital camera equipment and iPhone content capture.

  • Strong video editing skills for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social-first formats.

  • Proficiency in CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Comfortable using G Suite, Dropbox, and Microsoft 365.

  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar analytics and scheduling platforms.

  • Experience with paid social advertising is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic graphic design capabilities (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).

  • Understanding of SEO and content marketing principles.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of proven professional experience as a Content Creator, Photographer and Videographer, or similar role.

Salary: Dependent on experience.
